Growing up, I had a deep love for narrative storytelling, which naturally evolved into a passion for film—and eventually, filmmaking. After graduating from AFDA in 2007, I was fortunate to begin working immediately in local film and television. After years of hard work I was offered the opportunity to work on Mad Max Fury Road as an AE in Namibia. This was a childhood dream come true and taking the job led to many more incredible life changes. More big budget Studio films, working aboard and traveling.
But a love of South Africa and it’s people bought me back home. For a change of pace I shifted into short form, TVC’s, Mini Doccies and more. Short and rewarding projects that helped me grow as an editor. In 2020, I joined the team cutting Chasing the Sun, the story of South Africa’s triumph at the 2019 Rugby World Cup. Igniting a love for Documentary narratives.
Currently I jump between the two mediums of editing. Africa has incredible homegrown stories to tell, and it’s my hope to be a part of expanding these stories, and sharing them with the world.
